When Kelsi and I started talking about locations for her and Sam’s engagement session, they chose Bube’s Brewery—a place I’d never even heard of. Then she mentioned the catacombs… excuse me—catacombs?! 😳

As I quickly learned, Bube’s is the last intact 19th-century lager brewery in the U.S., and it is absolutely incredible. The stone catacombs—now used for dining—have such a unique ambiance you’d swear you weren’t even in Pennsylvania. There are even stories of hauntings… including sightings of a woman in a flowing white dress.

We were lucky enough to have the space to ourselves, and Kelsi and Sam were an absolute joy to work with. I already can’t wait for their October wedding day!

It’s been a little over three months since Laura & Courtney’s wedding, and I still find myself thinking about the beautiful simplicity of their day. Just the two of them, their son, and their closest family and friends coming together to celebrate their love.
The weather held out just long enough for the sparkler exit and the soft, cloudy skies made the fall colors Laura chose for her wedding party pop even more.
And a funny behind-the-scenes moment — while photographing the bridal party, Courtney’s groomsmen pulled out a sack of chewing tobacco. Curious, I asked what it tasted like… and they were very willing to let me try it 😂 I passed, but the moment definitely gave us all a good laugh.

Right now it’s 19° outside, we have about 8 inches of snow that has just turned over to freezing rain. Temps in the low 20s all week. We haven’t had any significant snow in my area in a long time so I shouldn’t complain but I loathe winter!

Thinking back to La Jolla, which was (still is) my favorite place to visit during pupping season when the temperature was always perfect.

Stay warm and stay safe everyone!

To first look or not? It’s a very personal decision and it’s about 50/50 of my couples who choose to do one.

Some advantages include using the time before the ceremony to get formals done (especially helpful during winter weddings when the sun sets early!) and it allows the couple a private moment to get those wedding jitters out of the way.

There’s no right or wrong answer as to doing one but I can’t help to feel like I’m witnessing something special ❤️

Saturday’s wedding was one to top off 2025...can’t wait to show you the sneaks...

Being the mama of a neurodivergent child means learning to go with the flow. Attempting to get some nice pictures takes time and direction, and redirecting and watching cues when I’m pushing her a little too much.
On a recent Sunday when I was trying to get a few photos, it was met with a lot of no, and refusing to put on the dress. So I let it be. I wasn’t going to force it and thought it won’t happen this year. Which is fine! I haven’t sent out holiday cards in a while so this year wouldn’t be any different.
And then something happened. This little dog who is her best friend and companion jumped up on the bench and laid down. She just sat there staring at me as if waiting for me to take her photo. So I did. She didn’t move and looked at me…and in that moment my daughter saw this and decided she would put on the dress and sit for me.
Sometimes your Christmas miracles appear in the form of a 9lbs little dog. Thank you Evie.

The Canon AE-1 Program was a Japanese-manufactured 35mm film SLR camera. It saw its heyday from 1976 to 1984, with approximately 5.7 million units sold, making it one of the most successful SLRs in history.
It was never meant to be a professional camera, but its low price and simple controls made it especially appealing to amateurs and hobbyists alike.
Personally, I’ve never had much experience with film beyond using a Kodak 110 back in the 1990s. My father owned a Nikon FE when I was a child, and we were never allowed to play with it. Still, I can vividly remember the black leather case he kept it in and how it hung over his shoulder during so many family vacations. That camera, though off-limits, became part of the visual memory of my childhood—a symbol of how photography once felt so precious.
Now, decades later, I’m finally stepping into that world for myself. With this new addition to my gear, I’m planning to play, experiment, and learn. Maybe I’ll even add film to my 2026 packages—maybe not. Either way, I’m excited to get out and shoot with it.

Sabrina and Richard’s love story truly began with a fairytale — a magical Disney wedding surrounded by all the whimsy and wonder that makes Disney such a dream destination for romantics like me! ✨ When Sabrina reached out over the summer to tell me that she and Richard were planning a convalidation ceremony and wanted it photographed, I knew it would be something heartfelt and beautiful.
The afternoon unfolded with such an easy grace — quiet laughter and calm excitement as they got ready in their home, slipping back into their wedding attire (because honestly, who doesn’t love another chance to wear the gown?!). The ceremony itself was intimate and deeply meaningful, shared with just their closest family members, making every moment feel intentional and full of love.
Afterward, we made our way to Boundary Creek for their portrait session. The whole day felt warm, peaceful, and joyfully unhurried — a perfect continuation of their fairytale beginning.

Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Courtney’s intimate wedding. From the moment I met Laura, she had such a warm and inviting nature. Such a presence about her that she could be your best friend in 30 minutes. And seeing her and Courtney together you could tell that they would be best friends forever. The kind of couple that just makes you feel all the fuzzies inside when you see them together. The way they looked at each other could melt an iceberg.

It seems that this weekend, again, weather was going to be an issue. When driving to Laura I was really hoping that Mother Nature would cooperate just for a little bit....and she did for just the right amount of time when we needed it.

Not to say we didn’t get the chance to get a spectacular night shot of the two of them under the rain.

And then as if to give these two grace again, the rain stopped for their sparkler exit.

Not me tripping over my own two feet to post sneak peeks of TONIGHT’S wedding!

Heather and Patrick wanted to have a unique wedding, something other than a typical wedding facility, and while on their boat one evening decided....let’s get married on a boat!

They chartered an 86’ power yacht and we sailed from Atlantic Highlands up to where Lady Liberty herself would have a bird’s eye view of their vows. I mean, talk about the wow factor.

With the erratic weather we have been having the last few days, Heather reached out to me on Wednesday saying that unless it was too dangerous to be out on the water, the wedding was on rain or shine. She ended her note with “ a little rain never hurt anyone.”

But I KNEW deep down, that they would have a great day....except it wasn’t great. It was utterly perfect.

Standing in front of one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, they exchanged their vows and then we continued to sail around lower Manhattan.

This one, was for the history books.

Are you a traditional kind of person who always imagined seeing your soon to be betrothed's face down the aisle? Or would you rather have a private one on one moment?

First looks can be a great opportunity to spend some peaceful time to relish in each other's company without a group of onlookers. To let your emotions run free and have a special moment in time and lose any wedding day jitters. First looks are also a great opportunity to also get formal photos out of the way - the couple, family, bridal party.

However, if you are looking for a more traditional timeline to your wedding, then formals are done during cocktail hour, meaning you don't get an opportunity to mingle with your guests early. Also, depending on if you are a fall or winter bride, you run the risk of having formal photos in a darker setting due to losing precious daylight hours.

There is no right or wrong answer, and it’s all up to your personal preference!
